How frequently have I heard that being bold and bright is paramount?

Countless times, I’ve answered each beckoning call,

to leap, to soar, to traverse across challenges both grand and small.

I’ve pushed my spirit, striving to reach the peak,

pursuing endless demands to always be unique.

Yet, as I see my body stretching towards the expanse,

I obscure a crucial truth, caught in a trance.

I forget that power is merely an illusion, a self-made delusion,

success is as fleeting as an ephemeral spell,

that never endures, though I cling to its swell.

One day, it shatters into countless drops of despair,

and I find myself falling, yearning for someone to care.

I endeavored to weather the storm. Yet, now a choice must be made:

Should I re-enter the race, risking everything to trade,

or heed my own voice, breaking free from the binds

of all that’s transient, allowing the truth to unwind?

Life's journey is wisdom, not a frantic chase,

the ebbs and flows must align with a gentler pace.

I need to pause for moments filled with love, light, and laughter,

to cherish warm words and kind deeds, savoring them after.

Though the highs and lows may rise and fall,

contentment blooms brighter, replenished for all.

The path to self-realization is never a simple feat.

I have battled significantly over the past couple of years,

lost in confusion about who I aspire to be during this phase of my life.

Following years of achievement, I worried I might never ignite a new passion again.

Numerous external demands clamored for my time and focus!

I have learned the value of being patient and gentle with myself,

and this practice has borne fruit. Gradually, I am rediscovering

what life signifies for me today. This poem is a tribute to that newfound clarity.
