Welcome to the Fourteenth week of our 2024 Writing Prompt Journey! I'm excited to see how you respond to this week's trio of new fiction prompts. Additionally, there's a special writing challenge designed to ignite your creativity in fresh ways.
Writing Challenge:
Try your hand at crafting a tautogram! In this exercise, every word in a sentence, paragraph, or chapter must begin with the same letter. For the following section, switch to the next letter in the alphabet. Choose your starting letter and continue sequentially. Best of luck!
Simple Guidelines for Participation:
- Choose one, two, or even three prompts each week, and get writing.
- Publish your work on your own platform or in any publication (including this one!), linking back to the original prompt post.
- Share your link in the comments of the weekly prompt post (or tag me so I can discover and share your creations).
- Lastly, remember to tag your post with "Writing Prompt Journey" and "Fiction."
Prompt 1:
You settle into an apartment building, unaware of the ancient curse plaguing the 13th floor.
Prompt 2:
A character discovers that their new online best friend is actually an artificial intelligence.
