Chapter 1: A Long-Awaited Introduction

I’ve been postponing this introduction for far too long.

As a writer, few experiences are more fulfilling than knowing that my words resonate with readers. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to each of you. I was fortunate to grow up in South Africa and now call the UK my home, thanks to my mother’s British nationality. I consider myself incredibly lucky to have her as my mother.

You might be aware of my enthusiasm for cryptocurrency, but what you may not know is that I also play semi-professional cricket during the summer months here in the UK.

Now, here comes the challenging part, which is why this blog has lingered in my drafts for what feels like ages.

Ten months ago, my mother passed away unexpectedly, igniting a passion within me to pursue writing full-time (that’s her in the picture beside me). Today, I find myself as a dedicated Medium writer with nearly 5000 followers. Writing has provided me with a renewed sense of purpose after being halted by grief. I had lost interest in many things, but I have rediscovered something I love, and I cherish every moment of it.

This journey is only possible because of your continued readership and support, and words can’t express my gratitude.

Self-promotion is not my forte, and I’m not here to sell you anything. However, I want you to know that I’ve quickly gained recognition as one of the most read writers on Medium, especially in finance and business sectors. My background includes five years running an eCommerce business and six years at a FTSE 250 finance company in the UK.

Researching and writing are my true obsessions. I dedicate my days to uncovering valuable insights on contemporary finance and trending topics, and I strive to deliver them to you in concise, digestible pieces.
