Mastering Consistency: Lessons from 100 Posts in 20 Weeks

Chapter 1: The Importance of Consistency
This marks my 100th post over the span of 20 weeks, and it’s time to delve into the essence of consistency.
Consistency is the vital ingredient for achieving any aspiration.
Let me pose a question: Are you completely consistent with every endeavor you're pursuing?
Most likely, you’re not—few individuals truly are. While many understand the value of persistence, they often find themselves veering off course eventually.
But have you taken a pivotal step that many overlook?
Consider this: Have you resolved to never miss a single day, regardless of circumstances? Or do you allow yourself the option to skip a day from time to time?
For me, missing even one post was simply not an option. It’s easier to be fully committed than to operate at 95% engagement. When inconsistency isn't an option, the thought of not participating doesn’t even enter your mind; it’s simply off the table.
I recognize the significance of daily engagement—not just for myself, but for you and the algorithm. How could I convey the importance of consistency if I didn’t embody it in my own efforts?
For me, showing up was non-negotiable. I prioritized posting from Monday to Friday, right after attending to my clients.
Imagine you decide to commit to exercising four times a week. Each day, you face a choice: Do I work out today or save it for tomorrow? With only four days dedicated to exercise each week, every workout becomes a decision point.
However, making decisions can create resistance, leading to an internal conflict between your emotional and rational selves.
In contrast, my commitment to posting content required no such decision-making process. I understood that if it wasn’t Saturday or Sunday, I was expected to create and share content.
Certainly, there were days when I lacked motivation or encountered writer's block, but I pushed through because I had no option to skip posting.
If I had entertained the possibility of not posting, I would have made excuses on days when writing felt challenging.
See the issue here? When skipping a day becomes an option, your consistency will inevitably falter—this is a certainty.
Today, make the choice to fully commit.
As always, I look forward to seeing you on Monday.
